    Angry Retro Sucks.

Everything "retro" is stupid. I'm sick of hearing about old, expired
fashions being brought back. Especially fashions from the 70s. Am
I the only person that thinks that the 70s was the ugliest decade
ever? If old episodes of Taxi, and Happy Days have tought me
anything, it's that you can pretty much sum up the look of the 70s
with three words: Brown, Orange, and Yellow. That's it; that's
what everything was. Cars were yellow, shirts were orange, and
slacks were brown. Ugly, ugly, decade.

Oh, and vinyl. I hate it. It's mostly those damn independent Punk
Rock bands that are trying to keep vinyl alive. And it's not just
the fact that they're trying to keep it alive that bugs me, it's the
attitude they have towards anybody (i.e. me) who thinks vinyl is
    stupid. Apparently, since I don't like vinyl, I'm not a real music fan;
because a real music fan would have an authentic phonograph. Blah.
No, I like music, and that's why I don't like vinyl. I like being able
to hear the music and lyrics instead of 30 mintues of static and
hissing. Since vinyl, there's been: 8-track, casette, CD, and DVD
Audio. It's time to move on, at least to casette.

The thing that really irritates me is that these independent bands
claim to be all about 'the music', and they want to spread it to
as many ears as possible. If that's true, then why are they releasing
it in a format that nobody has? Oh, yeah. Because they want that
'vinyl sound.' You know, I'm not a music-engineer, but I'm sure
that sound can be applied to a song before it's burned on to a
disc. The truth is, they use vinyl as an excuse. They say they want
the "vinyl sound", but in reality, they like the fact that they
can use the sound quality of vinyl as an excuse as to why their
music blows so hard; rather than the fact that, like all punk bands,
    they suck at writing music.

Some things don't need to be preserved; vinyl is one of them. It'd
be like Adobe releasing their next version of Photoshop on 5"
floppy disc, just so they can keep that format alive.

    Retro is so un-rad...

Oh, the word "rad" isn't a retro word; it's not even current. It's
a word so far ahead of its time, that using it makes you not only
    a trend-setter, but a revolutionist. There'll be a slang revolution;
you'll see. Words like "da bomb" and "anything with an 'izzo' in it"
will be disregarded and replaced with "rad" and/or "radical".

I've actually read that CDs can't play the same range of frequencies as vinyl can.

I'm sensing some hostility from you... You, like Kermi, are just
another mod that's threatened by the influence I have over the
other board members. You'll see, I'll overthrow you all one day...
I'll own Cprog. It's only a matter of time before all Cprog members
    are working in my mines..

I like retro music(that is, music from the retro area, not modern stuff on vinyl), and other retro stuff(like lava lamps, etc.).

But you see, vinyl and cassettes suck.
When you play them on an audio system that has hair-parting balls, you'll hear a bass-like consistent hum(that puts pressure on your head much like certain frequencies on a typical bass cd) when there is no audio. The same goes for VCR's.

    Long live digital.
The world is waiting. I must leave you now.
