I've never had any experiences to form an opinion

Horse flies here are also called Green Heads, god i hate them.
horseflies, uugh i hate them suckers. ive been biten by them several times. i don't like wasps either. ive been stung by them a couple times. bees seem to be more docile, so i can stand them. except for sweatbees. those suck too.
yum, yum potatoes!!!!!
Bees scare the crap out of me ever since I was stung by one when I was 4.
And horseflies MUST DIE!!!

bees are beautiful creatures that want to be left alone.
Wasps are moody.
I live in UK so we dont see many of the afore mentioned 'african killer zombie vampire' bees. Are they in US?
Oh yes, so dont be scared of bees-become a bee-keeper for a few months-that will alleviate your fear.
EDIT-NB, if you are allergic to bees, DO NOT become a bee-keeper!
Such is life.
Ironic, since I wanted to become a beekeeper during my childhood(in between my hopes to be a firefighter and my hopes to be a submarine captain).Originally posted by Fountain

European honey bees were once common, but a disease nearly eradicated them throughout the country a few years ago. They have started making a comeback in the last couple of years, but they're still not as common as I remember in my barefoot childhood days (barefoot until I got stung by one!). Luckily, the Africanized honey bees have not gotten this far north in the United States yet.
Bumblebees and the similar-looking carpenter bees are bigger and make a louder buzz noise as they fly by, but I've never been too bothered by them.
Yellowjackets, which some people mistakenly call sweat bees, are more of a nuisance. They always swarm around empty soda cans and near trash cans as they look for something sweet to drink. Luckily, I've never been stung by one of these wasps. Real sweatbees are tiny and not a nuisance.
Paper wasps and mud daubers always seem to build their nest in an inconvenient spot. My sister had been viciously attacked by a colony of them enough to have to be taken to the hospital.
Horseflies' bites are pretty painful. I hate those oversized flies.
I'm allergic for bees / wasps and when i get stunged by any..then the place of "impact" starts swelling up dramatically..... ::just thinking that this would be a great way for me when im old and when im out of viagra::. Anyways its not really fun coz when i get stunged in my neck then i can sufficate wich can lead to death... but i dont hate'em.
They're nice if ya treat em nice. So again restecpah is the key to succes

Bees and Wasps are scary MOFOs along with butterflies. Most people think butterflies are nice insects with kewl wings, but little do they know that butterflies and ladybugs are really EVIL CREATURES WITH HUGE TEETH THAT ARE USED TO RIP APART HUMAN FLESH. That is why I stay away from them all.
Remember unanimous, keep taking the medication.
