    File Size Too Small

We need more than 10 KB I think. You can't do anything interesting unless you get into the 5 MB range. So how do you change the settings? I have a credit card so there should be no problem.
    I compile code with:
    Visual Studio.NET beta2

You're right (although it's 100K, not 10)... Can we get it moved up between 1-5MB?

Huh? Never mind... I should have learned not even to ask by now.

    well

Well, it's not a site made to upload gigantic files to be shared - I tihnk it was just meant for uploading your programs and stuff to.

if you really need to share...

get a free website, preferably one of those 50 meg ones and post links to pages of files you want to share. It takes a bit longer, but it works.

    Another Solution

That's true, nobody will debug code if it is too long, however it would be nice to be able to share files such as music .mp3's and videos. I think that the ability to attach source code on this board is a bonus because this was not available in any capacity on the old board. I do not know how to set up an ftp site at this time however I'll likely find out how to do it in one of my courses so I'll wait until that time to open the music and video public library. In the future I bet that files of 5 - 10 MB will be easily stored and transported. A C/C++ program can get quite large. Surely there are program projects of significant size that are being held back by the capasity of the message board, however this is a great new begining. I like the board very much.

I find that the culprit of the imagination is email because it causes people to think in terms of less than 1.5 MB which seems to at least be Hotmail's capasity.

It would be great if we could purchase a public liscience copy of the C and C++ standard which we could all reference.

    hmmm...

so you need a course to figure out setting up an FTP site? I'll write you a simple FTP server in the time it takes that course to teach you how to use one! :-P bleh!

Steven King's, IT, takes up a whopping 1.89 MB
in E-Book form. Anybody planning to upload

    Ftp

It doesn't matter who has the ftp. Get it operational and lets start filling it up with cool stuff so that we can all use it. I can't suddenly study about it because I have to learn about other subjects this term.

You should be able to post
    400,000 lines of source code.

I forgot you could probably compress it and make it smaller.

Sure you can. Open it up in a text editor, delete 99.9% of it. And your done "compressing".
