>>> Seems Sri Lanka is tired today
Indeed. The Indian run rate was over 7 for a while but has dropped back a little now, still over 5 an over though.

India beat Lanka by 183 runs !
I knew that was going to happen. I'm sure this time it will be India vs Australia in the finals and India will win the world cup
some one post the rules for cricket, i am tired of not knowing what is going on.

New Zealand win the toss and will field first.
Australia 208 for 9 off 50
New Zealand 112 a.o. 30.1
Australia win by 96
A quite astonishing failure by the Aussie top order. Shane Bond finishing his 10 with figures of 6 for 23 - one hell of a session. Bevan and Bichel again!
Perhaps the pitch is playing oddly - we'll see.
What an extraordinary game.

>>Bevan and Bichel again!
Got to respect the depth of the Aussie side. Someone is going to fire up! Bevan always seems to come through when we realy need him.
Lee's spell where he took 5 - 3 off 15 balls was a killer.
Looks like we may push Kenya through to the semis unless New Zealand beats India. My money would be on India.

>>> the depth of the Aussie side
An inevitable failing of Englandwhen playing Australia is to do well against the top order, but the tail just wags and wags and ...
Anyway, to today. Zimbabwe win the toss and will bat.
Zimbabwe 133 a.o. 44.1
Kenya 135 for 3 off 26
Kenya win by 7 wickets
All going horribly wrong for Zimbabwe. Extremely tidy figures from all the bowlers, except perhaps Thomas Odoyo who has gone for 43 of his 10, not ragged, but a little heavy compared to the others.
Shah run out - very odd, a fluffed caught and bowled attempt ricochets onto Shahs wicket at the non-strikers end and finds Shah out of his ground!
Excellent result for Kenya. Some sloppy bowling from Zimbabwe, lot of extras.
I noticed the organisers have asked for some pitch changes after yesterdays game. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport3/cwc2003...00/2842309.stm

I found an unofficial "Live Audio" feed at Wisden, however, you need to sign up, signing up me saying yes to spam from a few places, and then it goes on to say that the commentators are not actually at the match.
I don't know why there aren't audio feeds, I guess some big media group has an exclusive, but whatever, I think that is a bit of a low shot from someone like Wisdens.

India in the finals !!!
I think it will be a Kenya vs India semi-final in which India will win and meet Australia in the finals.
I guess nobody thought about final :
Kenia Vs Australia
Don't be surprised.

I think is ts great to see Kenya doing well in the second round. They had their fair share of criticism in getting there.
It's good for the game that more countries are producing international teams capable of playing at top level. I would like to see more "friendly" games played to develop and encourage these teams. Unfortunately, the domestic seasons are usually to full with matches of commercial importance these days.

New Zealand put in by India.
New Zealand 146 a.o. off 45.1
India 150 for 3 off 404
India win by 7 wickets
Two ducks, one golden, in the first over. Some useful runs in the tail, but I suspect the total will not suffice.
Several early breakthroughs for NZ, India 21 for 3 off 5 at one point.
Another low scoring game.

Sri Lanka elect to bat first. Sri Lanka must win to go on.
Sri Lanka 256 for 5 off 50
Zimbabwe 182 a.o. off 41.5
Sri Lanka win by 74
Very low run rate for the first half of the innings, but a good pick up. Marvan Atapattu carries his bat and gets his century in the last over.
Zimbabwe played well at the start, but collapsed.
Todays other game, both sides have already qualified so a little academic perhaps.
Kenya 174 for 8 off 50
Australia 178 for 5 off 31.2
Australia win by 5 wickets

"We didn't win as comfortably as we'd have liked"
I'd always tipped an India Australia final with Australia winning, but looking at the second round games, India would seem to be playing better. Really good cup this.

uuuuufffffff... at last Sri Lanka got the ticket for semi.
