Pathetic sense of humour you have!

Most of the players in the Indian team are professionals/big shots. For instance, Ganguly is supposed to be a prince in his hometown, Kumble/Srinath is an engineer, etc. I'm sure none of them would die of starvation if they went out off the field even for years, because by now they are all millionaires.

>They are professionals like you and me
I never disagreed they were not professionals, but only said, they have been given something in excess, something they don't deserve even in the lowest quantity. Look at their play, look at the players, they all play for themselves, not for the team. What happened to the Match Fixing scam that was unleashed, where almost every Indian player was accused?
I don't have any hatred to their income from this game, nor do I envy their publicity, but because of people like you, who support things for no cause, this game has reached where it is today in India. It has become a religion, and their players their gods, what a shame.

>Kumble from your town was injured and was out of cricket for over a year without pay. Did we see you raising hell over that ..
He is still alive, neither was his life at peril due to lack of income. If you are so bothered about him, what have you done to help him?

Crores of rupees are spent on this game annually, if only these funds were transferred to some deserving charity cause, would have helped the needy very much.
Come on Man.. It is a game.. So what if it is given importance.. let it be if people like it... And the money is being spent by companies not by the govt... And lot of foreign Exchange is coming into India due to this game....

It is a religion i agree. so is foot ball..
