Networking with people is the most fun and rewarding thing you can do with your free time during college. It's really neat when you have a meeting with one club, then go with a member you just met that quarter to another meeting of another club haha. We just had E-Week and I'm so exhausted by all the service but it's really fun, if anyone is interested (I know there are a lot of pre-college folkie here who are headed, hopefully, in this direction), check it out. Check out the local ESC (Engineering Student Council) of the particular school you are attending too, it's really great. You'll come to realize that you have a _lot_ of free time on your hands (even though they say you are supposed to have 3 hours of studying per hour of lecture, heh...), so use it _wisely_ instead of organizing a hall CS tourney.
First quarter it'll seem like cake, like it did for me, and then I ended up really pushing it this quarter... which might have been a mistake as it's already 8th week. Stay on top and meet all the people you can, you'll need them later and plus it's fun fun fun!
Any ideas? =)~
