I see that the tutorial section in this site is not up to the mark.. I think it is verry important for a forum like this to have tutorials or various subjects related to this forum.. Many doubts will be solved this way...

Why dont we revivie it.. Many of us here are ready to contribute quality tutorials.. I am ready to write in-depth tutorials..

and it would be better if the tutorial section is enhanced....

This is a honest request to the mods.

PS:- I am ready to write tutorials on Data Structures (in-depth with implementation) and BGI graphics..(in dept .. where the user would have learned to create games)..

well for the tutorials there can be another forum on this board where the access is limited.. (where the user cannot create new threads..)..

A tutorial can be reviewed by a mod and if it is goood .. it can be put in that forum with enhancements to make viewing easier.. Like we can have many parts of the tutorial submitted in different weeks.. And if any users or readers have any doubt regarding that tutorial they can directly ask questions there which will be answered...

Well i think it will be a success and i am sure many people will come foward to write them...

You're talking about the tutorials on the main index right? Well,
I agree we can use some additions since only the basics of C++
are discribed in those tutorials. A good idea would indeed be
to create a board on the forum dedicated to tutorials, So we
we can reach more viewers and have a more dynamic tutorial.

All tutorials are considerd as long as it hasnt already been done (well). All tutorials should be in rtf format and if possible html strict-text format.

Well written is a must, and it helps if you know what your talking about. All submissions are appreciated....and so on.

Well thanx for the support.. It would be great if all of us can agree upon this... I will PM him now..

But before we jump to this and they starts a board for tutorials it is better that a detailed plan is built and the tutorial section or board is specially designed for this purpose.... with as much as automation possible.. (like submission, reviewing, answering questions etc etc..).. i would agree upon the idea of dynamic tutorial section or board...

I reaquest the MOD's to consider this.. since we see many of us here usually search for quality tutorials on the NET when we have such a nice forum here which has many talented people who are ready to share their knowledge with us...

Sounds like a great idea(if it's not too much trouble for the moderators). When you get an answer from the webmaster maybe a Poll would be appropriate to find out how many people would benefit from something like that. It would probably solve alot of frequently asked questions.

I doubt it. The current FAQ is probably the least read webpage on the planet

well let me tell you why the FAQ board is not visited much..

The FAQ board just contains threads that were already read and discused and it is not in depth.. meaning it does not explain everything completely.. it only gives snippets of ideas.... But many people here (even me) would like to learn new things.. like say for a begginer "Using Console Graphics". people may give him snipets of code etc but that will not help.. but a complete tutorial will make sense...

Many people here do not know concepts such as data structures and their use... Just telling them what it means is not of much use... but think abt a tutorial which starts from basic and goes on explaining the concepts, implementation etc.. it will be lot interesting..

Some might argue that instead books can be purchased or there are already a lot of tutorials online.. But having it here has a lot of advantage... We can even have a question answer session for a tutorial where doubts are cleared by the tutorial author...

So it is up to the members and the MOD's to decide... i think it is better we have a poll..

My intention is to put as much as possible from the FAQ board into the new FAQ. Tutorials/discussion papers are welcome to go there as well, but there is already a place for some of these, as RoD mentioned.
