Why don't you use the net to find the source - if you really don't want to bother with it - perfroming a quick search on e.g. google?
Just type "Serial port AND Pascal AND source" in google's search box, and you're done.

However, I must say, the world is getting full of "programmers" who get their diplom this way. Why don't you try to figure out yourself how to do such - not too complicated things - by yourself?

Nowadays you can see many "professional" programmers, who have chosen this job only because it's worth it -financially!

I'm dissappointed, really. When I started programming there was no Internet, me and those of my kind spent days and nights looking for solutions, worked over the summer just to buy a bigger hard drive and expensive books - and I never thought of doing this for money.

That's my problem! Programming has become a "trendy" job, it's all about the money...where money interferes, the art dies!

Ok, I don't mind if I'm well-payed for my work

My idea is that no one should start programming *just* because it's well-payed.

By the way, China has become a "threat" for software companies, as they have skilled programmers, and work cheap!

Not speaking of russians...

Ya, maybe. I'm no expert on artists .

Regarding the "code" and "source", "source" sounds more like "force" than "code" does, that's his point.

...I understand what you are saying...and of course art lives forever...but the subject of how programming has lost it's art form...and that there are only a few programmers who see it as art and not money...but if you do not see programming as money...and you enjoy what you do...the art form will not disapear unless you die and you have not transmitted that passion to someone else...so the key is to pass on the passion for the art and not for the money...before you go...
