A password protected machine is no good either if the specific Administrator account is set up. If the Administrator account isn't set up (with a password) all you have to do is start the computer in safe mode, and click on the Administrator icon. Boom, instant access.

Although I'm no big fan of Microsoft, I don't think this is really a big deal. If someone has physical access to a computer then they can do almost anything they want to it anyway.....no matter if it's Linux, Windows, or anything else.

what about the remote admin ption?
could you use that + 2000 cd to do it? Not to go with that hacking thing, but tis is a big flaw, and perhaps ms employeess will see this and get a clue. Im not too worried about it though, nor should anyone else. I mean come on, even if what i said was possible, who would go and pick someone out to attack? Anyhow, that is hilarious though, I know they changed the password algorithm (cause i can't use alt+char in the password) but retained the same nt structure for the OS. it's hilarious.
