Thread: Youngins and PC's!

I member a little while back, i think it was DavidP who made it, there was a post about a five year old relative and how well they used the computer. Now most of us, when we were say 11, were good enough with PC's to pull something like this (doesn't take much hehe), but would any of us have expected to be removed from the school by the police???

wow, being jailed. I would expect suspension, possible expulsion. but, wow, being pulled out of school by the police, that seems extreme. i know it could constitute as vandalism, but changing a grade isn't like he is destroying equipment.

I don't worry about it, i was given administrative access on my student user name because i'm always fixing problems that arise, it kinda screws with peoples heads hehe.

Here's what I don't get: If he's smart enough to get in and change his grades, how was he so dumb that he got bad grades in the first place?

He didnt necessary have to do any "hacking" to get in... some teachers are just dumb. For example, in my Spanishh class in HS, the teacher left her computer on WITH THE GRADING PROGRAM RUNNING and left the room... needless to say many grades were changed rofl

Agreed. *Personally* I believe that a 5 year old lacks the mental experience (depending on the situation, perhaps the teacher simply left an application displaying marks running, then Jr. decided to change his grade). But otherwise... we all know that the media will make anything up. Just like CBC making up that EarthViewer.com could help you "See anywhere in the world. Good for business and helps the military." or "Its secret spy satellites updating all of the time!" But if they did not exaggerate so often they would realize that NASA seemed to get bored and made a project called BlueMarble and just took tonnes of pictures(Mainly of U.S. and I think Japan) and tried to piece them together, which is pathetic. They also would've realized that nasa could not focus the lense to .7 meters, but rather a maximum of 1km, etc..Oh, if you want a laugh though download EarthViewer and once you get a picture tell it to 'Tilt' its really funny. All it does it tilt the picture (as if it were a texture on a 2D quad) then they want the average-joe to believe that their application is giving you a totally new angle and perception! Hehe. (Anyways, I'm done with my rant)
