So you've got a day and a half to do your homework. I suggest looking in the glossary int he back of your book. Either that or read your chapter.

Nobody's going to do your homework here for you. We've got better things to do...

    History always repeats itself

You shouldn't focus on one area too much, you'll become very one dimensional.

Companies are always looking for programmers who are more than just some "computer nerd", and you have the rest of your life to learn how to program. I suggest putting more effort into your other studies.

    Good luck,
    Terrance

I don't know all of these, but I'll see what I can do (and some of them are even true! Sorta. I'll say it again. STFW.).

    > Brain Trust
A document you sign that donates your brain to science after you die.

    >The Hundred Days
The first 100 days of FDR's presidency

    >Fireside Chats
Also known as the "birds and the bees" speech that parents give to their children.

    >Bank Holiday
    "Weekdays"

    >Alphabet Soup
All those little organizations below this on your list.

    > FDR
    Fordy's dorky roommate

    >Huey Long
Later changed his surname to "Lewis" and made a band with the "News"

    >Court-Packing Scheme (causes & effects)
The courts were empty, so strippers were introduced to draw a crowd.

AAA: American Automobile Association, founded during the Great Depression to help poor car owners.

GovtCheez had some good answers, and here are some more:

Social Security Act: Required that every American have one of those xxx-xx-xxxx-numbered cards for identification purposes.

New Deal and labor: Labor exists to serve the managerial elite.

Wagner Act: The Wagner Act enforced the New Deal attitude towards labor.

    21st Amendment: Outlawed interstate prostitution.

March on Washington: Hitler's troops nearly took our nation's capital.

Father Charles Coughlin: Famous Catholic priest radio personality. He was later arrested for child molestation.

FDIC: Federal Duck Inspection Corporation. This government agency was charged with making sure duck meat was top notch. Approved meat was FDIC insured. It later merged into the Food and Drug Administration.

Hoover's plan for the Great Depression: distribute hoover vacs for "Hoovervilles" with "Hoover blankets". (The last two terms there actually have interesting histories.)

FDR's plan for the Great Depression: buy hoover vacs, "Hoovervilles", and "Hoover blankets", for up to 2 times what they cost.
