Just beat minesweeper for the first time!
I know, probably not a big deal, but I just beat it for the first time.
I've only played the game about 75 times or so, and didn't really understand the rules until yesterday.
I got one away from beating it yesterday, and I finally beat it today.
On easy though
I still don't understand that game!
No really, I never really played, Like why? I had Doom and Hexen
on my PC...
I have won at the beginning and intermediate levels. Simple game it really is a matter of finding the patterns.

minesweaper is pretty simple to figure out. You pick a tile and it lets you know how many tiles around it contain a bomb, its all about probability, but picking the right tile is difficult sometimes but it was a fun game back in '95 :-p
Minesweeper is great. Simple to learn, but can be hard, and requires some stratagy. whats everyones fastest times in windows minesweeper? mine are 9sec beginner, 75 intermediate, 315 expert.

Yes it's simple to learn, but it's not great, I think it's a very stupid game, I never like playing it, and I never finished it when I play I either loose or get bored, and close the game.

Check out the videos. It's insane. The game isn't about patterns anymore after you've reached a certain level. It's more about speed, accuracy, distance you move your mouse...

those videos showed beginner as being an 8x8 square, but on my minesweeper (windows xp) its a 9x9...

It could be a custom size I guess.
I did expert in 132.. don't know about the other difficulty levels..
