    Yahahahahaha! Linux!

    I'd just like to share my joy in fixing my first 2 linux problems!

    Problem 1: Ethernet initialization failed.

    Problem 2: Sound device not supported.

    Fix: I swapped in an extension card ethernet, extension PCI sound card, as well as a new video card which (now that I have internet on linux) I can download new video drivers for better 3D support! Yahoo!

    I am on linux as I type!

    Guys! This is sooooo cool! My new OS couldn't detect parts of my motherboard. What a rad program!

    Leeman - you should just make a "Leeman's Linux thread" and quit making new ones every 6 hours.

    gcc for C
    g++ for C++

    I think they come with any distro of linux.

    You should have emacs and vi as editors. Both are good, I use emacs, it has synax highlighting.

    I'll have to wait and see until I finish re-installing

    I tried to get 3d acceleration for my 3d rage pro card and somehow deleted modules needed to start x server. now the module is gone, can't start x server, so....that sucks
