Just made a big-ass trade: was it good?

    I traded:
    3 486 Motherboards
    2 Old Cases
2 OLD Motorola Modems (without drivers)
    3 14x (i think) CD-ROM drives
    2 1.44 MB floppy drives
    1 500MB HDD
    1 Intel Pentium 1 Processor
1 Old networking card (without drivers)

    for:
working copy of Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional (with serial) (full version)
working copy of Microsoft Windows XP Professional (with serial) (full version)
working copy of Norton Antivirus 2000
    working copy of GTA3
    working copy of Transport Tycoon
working copy of Microsoft Office 2000
a bunch of other games ive never heard of

What do you think? I think i did pretty good, lol.

Yeah, I live with my uncle and he's getting married, all that old comp stuff was taking up alot of space in the basement, and my new aunts daughter is moving into the basement (21 years old, lol) So it was either sell it, trade it, or trash it.

I think everything on the list is junk.
    OS: Linux Mandrake 9.0
    Compiler: gcc-3.2
    Languages: C, C++, Java

If you go flying back through time and you see somebody else flying forward into the future, it's probably best to avoid eye contact.

    Sounds like a good trade.....

However, you don't need 2000 and XP, use XP.

I've never been able to get NAV2000 to work with XP.

    Games are crap.

    XP + Office 2000 = good enough.

What is sad, is the way things are routinely chucked out these days, I can see a genuine Pentium I processor being worth a fortune on some antique program in 50 years.

Again with the one-liners?! Is this a one-liner? no? but it is pointless! Oh yeah, the point of this post: JasonLikesJava: I know you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but if your just gonna come on here and say something like that (in a one-lined post to boot!)...Well, I just dont like it. I understand that you are a linux user, I am too. I also think microsoft sucks seeds, but i live in a windows-oriented family, and they know absolutely nothing about Linux, therefore I have to keep upgrading the microsoft stuff on the computer. Ok. Byebye.

Pentium 1's make good servers, but 486 are really good for nothing

You din't really expect a Pentium 1 Proccesor to just stay
perfectly in 1 piece when you ram a metal drill through it?
Proccesors sometimes even break when you put a cooler on it,
so dont count on drilling trough it.
