Did you write a program to parse output of HTML from the board to calculate that? Was it all requested manually? Was it written in C?

    > Did you write a program to parse output of HTML from the board to calculate that?
Not as such - just a bit of regular expression matching using AWK (Perl without the steroids to you)

    > Was it all requested manually?
Not a chance - the whole thing is
    curl to grab web pages
    awk to extract the info
bash to glue it all together

It's all about the average number of posts per day, wich is about
8 for everyone of those top ten posters, not a that high number
is it? 8 posts per day? it's just that they have been a member for
    a loooong time.

10+ posts a day for more than 2 months membership = obsession in my book.

Take a break from this place, man! hehe.. you need to find some other more productive things to do.
