Halo, has some really nice cutscenes and dialogue and the gameplay is pretty fun.
Xbox, it's really it's best game.

Hmm I didn't really like max payne. It was too unusual...
I am against the teaching of evolution in schools. I am also against widespread
literacy and the refrigeration of food.
Yeah, MaxPayne is a great game, I enjoyed it alot, but I only played it once...
none...
For some really great story and directing, have a look at Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2.
The first had a better story, the second had better gameplay, but both are equally among the best games around.

If you want to see some well directed games - try Metal Gear 2 or Splinter Cell. They both have a movie like quality to them with some amazing world interaction.
I did love the Buffy easter egg in Max Payne though - funny!

I too loved max pa.... But now hitman seems better.. I am now playing hitman2...
splinter cell is great, im taking my time on it and absorbing it all
ironmaiden is great too
