yum, yum potatoes!!!!!
Probably metal gear solid for the story line and network counter-strike for the sheer playability.
What system?
PC: Privateer or Morrowind
N64: Goldeneye or Perfect Dark
SNES: A Link to the Past or Street Fighter 2
XBox : Halo (one of 2 games I've played for it)
PS2: GTA: Vice City
Gamecube: Sanity's Requiem

Hmm.. lesse, Metal Gear Solid (PSX) , FF7 (PSX) and Secret of Mana (SNES)
don't know exactly why but I just love those games.
I agree with minesweeper for counter-strike...
I like staregy games like RedAlert... My favourite game is Resident Evil...
none...
There's also minesweeper's namesake, of course. I've wasted plenty of time w/ that and the other free games bundled w/ Windows. Those and Bejeweled.

i used to like red alert like ammar and other westwood games until i discovered starcraft. starcraft blows red alert command and conquer and the sequel out of the water.
yum, yum potatoes!!!!!
The games that I have loved and played to death over the years would be in order:
1. PC: Baldurs Gate II
2. Amstrad CPC6128: The Bards Tale
3. Xbox: Splinter Cell
4. PS2: GTA3 - Vice City
5. PSone: FFVIII
6. N64: Goldeneye
7. GBC: Metal Gear
8. GBA: The Two Towers
9. C64: Impossible Mission ("Stay a while, stay forever!!!!")
10. Atari ST: Xenon
"Queen and huntress, chaste and fair,
Now the sun is laid to sleep,
Seated in thy silver chair,
State in wonted manner keep."
> until i discovered starcraft.
Emperor's New Clothes... There is NOTHING special about that game (that's right!).

SNES: Front Mission, Zelda, FF6, Lufia, Lufia 2, Adult Manga 1, Mechwarrior.
Genesis: Phantasy Star 4, Subterrania, Uncharted Waters 2.

In case I forget, I use Bloodshed Dev C++ v.4
Anyone remember Spy vs Spy? That was gooooood!! Gotta be one of the contenders for most playable games ever accounting for technology limitations of the time.
One of my favorite games for the PC has to be Warzone 2100. I just enjoyed building units (tanks, planes, etc) and researching new stuff and then blowing the .......... out of the other person
Recently, I've become addicted to the Tigers Woods 2003 golf game for my PS2.
Oops, I forgot to put Pocket Tanks under PC.
