    What Compiler Do you Have?

    this is probably a silly question, as i know like 90% of the people here have MSVC++, but there are thosewith other compilers.

    heres my question again, take the poll to vote on whoch compler you think is the absolute best. then tell me in a reply as to what compiler you do use mostly and what you have. know what im asking now?

    for al those who have BSDC++ (bloodshed dev-C++) please tell me
    for all those who have MSVC++ tell me.

    tell me also what your favorite thing about the compiler is.

    good ol repetition, read da siggy punk :P

    edit: its flawed, u ask which one we use as the topic, but the poll asks which one is best. pick one, just cuz we use one doens't mean its the best in our opinion.

    I think most of programmers have more than one compiler. I've got some old ones on my PC, an old Turbo C and Pacific C. which I don't use anymore.

    The C/C++ compilers I'm using:

    MicroSoft Visual C++
    Borland C++
    DJGPP gcc/egcs

    The GCC compiler is the one I currently use most. I'll vote that.

    I use VS.NET, gcc, Dynamic C, Softools WinIDE, and Dev-C++ (which is just an environment, not a compiler, AFAIK)...

    I know someone says this everytime, but Dev-C++ is an IDE, not a compiler. It uses the compiler available with mingw.
    So there.

    Edit: Gotch beat me to it.

    Bloodshed and MSVC++ here. I was using Bloodshed more but now I'm almost exlusively using Visual Studio. Probably looking to upgrade to .NET once I find I might actually use the added abilities.

    You included all of the major operating system specific compilers, and you even included some old compilers, but why did you exclude the macOs compilers? Code warrior!

    EDIT: Just to let you know I am not a mac sympathizer, if I find anyone of you are actually using macs, I'll rip out your internal organs and replace them with parts from my older system and scribble 'intel inside' on your forehead

    There are alot more compilers such as intel's, ibm's, hp's and
    sun's. These are expensive though.

    I use mingw mostly. I have borland and lcc-win also, but I haven't used it yet. I've used borland, but barely. Oh, I use these because they are free...lol...

    ROFL, that was good. Man, funny stuff.

    Hm, I take it that was a Mac slam - obviously. Was that an Intel slam too? Intel AND Mac slammed both in the same thought. Eesh, if you could've worked Microsoft into that one, it would've been heaven.

    Here, I'll do it for you instead.

    first i agree WHERE THE HECK IS CODEWARRIOR!!!! hehe

    second, its not a mac only compiler, its a compiler for anything and everything.

    i used to use MSVC when i didn't know better, but now im almost exclusively CodeWarrior.
