Yeah, you're right there. A lot of people (like you) don't even consider it a good system JUST because it's made by MS.
its true, it only has a couple good games, and the ONLY one that comes into my mind, is halo.
LOL!!! This is the biggest piece of crap, and a very typical flame towards the X-Box. Seriously, go into a GOOD store and look around. Most stores just don't sell many X-Box games. But if you go to a good one that sells all the games, you'll see just how many good games there are. A lot of which are on all 3 systems, or at least X-Box and PS2 such as Hitman 2. As for X-Box exclusives... there really isn't even a lot of competition there. Seriously, the true X-Box exclusives, ones that use the X-Box to it's fullest extent will kick almost all of the current PS2 exclusives asses. I may have only had my X-Box since christmas, but how about this? Halo (duh), Oddworld: Munch's Oddysey, Metal Gear Solid: Substanance, Splinter Cell, Project Gotham Racing... and the list goes on.
it needs a $50 (canadian) hardware attachment to play DVDs as well as a remote.
Yeah, that is kinda annoying. No doubt there. The PS2 can play DVD's with the standard controler (as annoying as it is) so why can't the X-Box? Oh well, I already have a DVD player so it's not like I care about that.
has built in harddrive and comes with online support.
Weeeeeeeeee, finally you post something good about it! If you want these features in your PS2 you're going to be paying WAY more than the $50 it would cost to get the DVD attachment for the X-Box
uhh...the controller is confusing to the beginning player.
Ermmm, may I point out that really the only BIG difference between the X-Box controller and that PS2 is that the D-Pad and left analog stick are switched? That's actually a plus. Most games today use the left analog stick as the main movement instead of the D-Pad. It simply makes more sense to have the main stick in the main part of the controler. That's the biggest reason I use the D-Pad on the PS2, the left stick is just in the wrong place. How about the fact the PS2 has 4 triggers? That's a pain in the ass to me. Yes, the X-Box does have those little black and white buttons that are actually in different places on different controllers, but that's the only confusing thing, just those damn little buttons :p. Why couldn't they be like buttons C and Z and be in a logical position?
did i mention that halo is one of its only good games?
Yep, and I already covered that :p
very large anbd heavy.
Very true, but it is lighter than my computer :)
but looks cool. comes with its own hard-drive. It could look better.... if you can only see the front of it like on mine, it's kinda boring. Only the top looks nifty. I actually prefer the look of both the GC and PS2 over the box.
