Loved those movies. As I was filing through my mind(trying to think up some of my favorite movies) I somehow passed them by, action movies are truly riveting. Goes to show that fights, shooting, flaming cars, and a good jaw crunch never grows dull!

It's possible, in fact, it's been done.

In terms of "realistic fiction" computer movies, I think antitrust was one of the better and more realistic ones. That's not really saying much though considering its competition is movies like "The Net" and *cringes* "Hackers."

I met him at MSU when he was making Evil Dead. If you like that one, check out Return of The Living Dead. Kind of a satire on the Night of the Living Dead. Had some great lines. In one scene, a bunch of punk rockers are walking down the street, and one says "Hey, where's Bill?" "Bill got a job." "A job!! What a d**k!"

"Hackers" movie logic: "Let's hack into the school computer and make the sprinklers go off" [sarcasm]... Because we all know that they're hooked up to the internet...[/sarcasm] Or how about at the end when the guy is working with that 3D interface watching his code get hacked, at least I think that's what was happening, I forget. There were so many other stupid things, but I've tried to push that movie out out of my brain as it was taking a dump on my imagination.

You know, I think the TV show "Alias" (the greatest show ever
created) is the most accurate when dealing with computers.

On tonight's episode (spoilers ahead) Marshall actually used "ping"
to alert SD-6 to his position (he was captured, and his captors
wanted him to write a program. Which he did, but when they
started the program, it turned out he wrote PONG. Then he
started laughing at them. Almost got killed. Very funny)..

Anyway, the people at SD-6 traced the IP address to Mexico
City (I think that's where it was) and rescued Marshal.
