    Photoshop prob

Ok, we took some regular camera pictures on a vacation. They were near dusk but we didn't feel we needed the flash, well we did so they came out a lil dark. You can make out what the image IS just u go blind trying.

Is there a photoshop "how to" on fixing this? Can i? I'd let u guys see the image but its kinda personal and not rlly PG-13 lol.

    Thnx.

So the picture is just too dark?
I assume you have it on your pc in jpg or bmp or whatever,
you could try increasing the lightness

    [edit]

If you scanned it in i'm not sure if you can increase the light,
because if if it scans in dark it stays dark even though you increase the light

yea it helped a little, i just wish i could do the detail but i don't see how its possible. I got it to brighten a little with bright/contrast settings.

Enhance the detail of a scanned picture?

    i don't have a clue how

I think you've got to go to the channels RGB and adjust something like the hue in one or more channels.

At the photoshop website they have video tutorials on how to do things like this.
My Avatar says: "Stay in School"

    Rocco is the Boy!
    "SHUT YOUR LIPS..."

In the help section there are some examples on how to do this, but I think the vids are more understandable.

    Try this....

    - Create a new threshold layer
    - Move the slider to the middle
    - Whever you have white areas on the threshold layer, use the color picker on the corresponding areas on the background layer (the picture), and select the color
    - Create a new layer on top of the background
    - Fill the the layer with the selected color
    - Invert the layer color (CTR+I)
    - Change the blending mode on the inverted color layer to "color dodge"
    - Merge all visible layers
    - Now adjust the brightness
