I've come to the conclusion that I absolutely love programming with a passion, but could really care less about computers whatsoever. I mean, to me a computer is just a tool that allows me to program and other odd jobs like games or internet, nothing more. I've never had the desire to open one up to see how it ticks, nor do I care about constantly upgrading it. I know diddly squat about processors or chips or boards etc nor do I really want to know.
I was wondering, am I in the minority? It seems like most programmers I know treat their computers as though its a loved one, and constantly brag about all the new and great things their computer can do and how efficient such-and-such componant is. What sayest the rest of you?
