    The Two Towers

Anybody here make it to the midnight showing last night of the The Lord of the Rings? I wished I was there, but will make up for it in a couple of hours when I go todays noon showing!

    Me too. Its not fair.

Its 2 hours and 50 minutes in length. That is going to be one long movie. However, if it is as good as the first one it will definitely be worht the time.

You better not spoil it for the rest of us...

I saw it 18 hours ago.

It was good, but not as good as the first installment.

I'd like to see one more time before I rate it, but I suspect I'll give it three or four out of five, most likely four.

I have read the books, just dont want to know anything about the movie, before I sit in that seat.

Agreed, I'm the same way. I had the option of rereading the books (I first read them about 15 years ago) this last summer, but passed because I wanted to be surprised by the movies. I remember most of the first book - before the movie refreshed my memory - and only really the ending to the last one. I don't remember diddly-squat about the Two Towers!

I over heard that there were complaints of the two towers sounding too much like the twin towers. Some people.

Its true, the production company thought for a long time about changing the name of the movie so people wouldn't associate it with the twin towers. In the end, the Tolkein fans complained so much that they decided to keep it.

hmm, I really didn't think the first one was all it was cracked up to be. I mean the effects and fight scenes and everything were cool, but I always judge a film on whether I look at my watch or not before it's over. I looked at it a few times during the first one. I will see the second one, but I ain't in any rush.

Yep, 18.12.2002 / 00:01. Great movie. You might be interested in Massive, the software that controlled the battle scenes. Sounds interesting, just do a search.

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
