    Ya know....

As I write the umpteenth line of code, I just realized a GREAT program for the next "bill gates" to create. A source code "spell checker". Or in thereoy, something that could analyze your boo boos and tell you how things are supposed to be done.

Jus an aimless thought with really no thought to it....

Do you know how much code would be needed? That is a crazy program to make. That, and we are programmers. We need not to spell.

What would be the point? You could just copy & paste it into your word processor and check it over for spelling mistakes.
    Ramble on...

To some extent programs like this already exist on the market.

i'll assume you mean syntax... compilers do report the errors, and, in the minimalist sense, only suggest how to overcome them for a successful compile... but aside from that what other errors would you need? the rest would be programmer follies, run-time errors...

for example, a spelling and grammer checker, in the conventional sense, gives you a minimalistically correct paper... but it cannot check that your ideas are strong and supported, and that your writing has good structure and sense...

    lol

I dont really need anything like that myself. I was just stating a thought that's been bouncing around in my head for some time. Just stiring the pot!

I meant syntax though, more-over it was a silly thought. Im jus sittin here writting some code....and Im like wow, a code "spell checker". In the sense that some how it miraculously can figure out what the hell your just trying to do with your "duct-taped" program...and tidy things up instead of giving errors.

Then again, If something like this were to be made........we wouldn't have any newbies to pick on.....

(even tho im still one )
