Thanks!

I don't know anything about prolog, but anyway I'll learn it we have a course in the univeristy where we will learn it, but why do you think it's important, and is it diferent that C/C++?
none...
I'm also trying to learn prolog, bob, but the language looks extremely complex. Online tutorials will help a bunch!
This has been a public service announcement from GOD.

You had a similar posting on Prolog earlier. Why did you not continue the thread? (Trying to increase postings???)

Whether I create a new thread or continue a post I will have the same amount of posts overall. I chose to make a new thread because the first, the way that it started and the way it wound up, wasn't really what I am looking for now.(Trying to increase postings???)
Prolog is a langauge that was developed for programming AIs. It is very different from C++.but why do you think it's important, and is it diferent that C/C++?

Try http://cs.wwc.edu/~cs_dept/KU/PR/Prolog.html
or http://www.cs.may.ie/~jpower/Courses/PROLOG/
and it would be better if you try http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...rolog+tutorial
I've had a class in prolog, it's not too hard, just totally different then C/C++.
I also recommend that you guys learn Scheme and ML, you should definatly learn at least one functional language ( or maybe I should phase it "function-based language"). In functional languages the solutions to (certain) problems are often much more elegant and intuitive then in say, C++.
Prolog, is short for Programmable Logic, and I guess would be called a logic based language.

Another good language used in AI is LISP. That is another interesting language to learn.

Don't waste your time learning Prolog, you'll virtually never need it. It's a waste. You'd be much better off learning Perl or Oracle-- atleast these you have a chance of using.
It is not the spoon that bends, it is you who bends around the spoon.
I am going to learn one of those, but Prolog is a "just for fun" language for me.Don't waste your time learning Prolog, you'll virtually never need it. It's a waste. You'd be much better off learning Perl or Oracle-- atleast these you have a chance of using.
I can't remember - is Prolog an compiled or interpreted language? Also, what kind of Prolog environments are there?

Prolog is a compiled language. As for environments, I have Win-Prolog and Visual Prolog. I'm not sure what else is out there.I can't remember - is Prolog an compiled or interpreted language? Also, what kind of Prolog environments are there?
