Arrgh! I thought I had come up with an original name!
But google only finds 90 pages for "omicron basic" and 1200 pages for "omikron basic" so I guess it isn't that common (anymore?).

The world is waiting. I must leave you now.
The first language I learned was Pascal, learned it from a friend of mine who was studying computer science those days and learned it at university. But the language I really started learning programming was C.
Well after working with HTML for a month or so, I wanted all the "cool" features which could only be done in javascript; like scrolling text in the status bar, mousetrails, prompts, etc. After cutting and pasting JavaScript for awhile, I found a tutorial on www.webmonkey.com about Javascript and then bought a book.
I forget exactly how I heard of C/C++, but I STFW and found this place. So I guess my first language was JavaScript.
ICL 1900 Assembler and Fortran IV at about the same time.
For years after that, Fortran-66 then -77, (and a little Coral-66 and COBOL, but the less said about that...).
C and Pascal, and all the others were later.

Didn't that have a stupid little drag and drop programming tool?Originally posted by MadHatter
NQC (Not Quite C)
programming language for the RCX.. Lego's little programmable brick.. anyone heard of it..? ah, oh well... after that it was java.
I had that.

yes, but there were several other languages people made for it.. NQC was sort of like C (tho a lot easier). there was also a 'Quite C', and i think someone got java to run on it.

Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

I taught myself some VB back in eighth grade, now i don't remember any of it.
I started learning C++ last spring semester. I'm trying to teach myself Java through online tutorials right now actually.
edit:: actually i'm still learning C++, APCS class through high school, i love that class.
edit:: off topic: I've noticed that I have tendencies to type semicolons more and double colons more and some other programming related stuff more now.
Logo!!! Wow, forgot about that! Blast from the past... I remember that little turtle drawing about, creating all sorts of cool pictures...
