    Upsetting

    Goto this website: www.usais.org

What do you think? Looks like the US Immigration Service site, correct? Well, guess what... it is actually a company sneakily implying that they are the USIS. They charge the people $50 for a normally free service. Action should definately be taken. I say that we flood the host admin's account with complaints. Hopefully, it will get them to take the site down.

i found it odd that the extension is .org, but its prolly tied to the goverment in some way so mass emails won't do nething.

It isn't tied to the government. Check out this article.

That's not the Gov's style either. I note:

"Green Card Lottery" Plus the fact that the languages listed up top are mainly the "internet" languages. If they were going to list languages like that I wouldn't expect dutch to be up there.

I particuarlly like their "Comsuer Alert" section. Isn't it illeagel to immitate the gov this way?

U.S. government websites have the '.gov' extension, not '.org'.

    These folks are "sleazeballs".

Of course, having just returned from New York, where every other corner has someone selling "Rolex" watches out of a suitcase (my brother-in-law bought one just to create "street theater"...watch the Tony awards! - I'm not surprised that some enterprising scumbag hasn't figured out some way to dupe the "unsuspecting".

Not defending them... but like stated. Government agencies have .gov addresses and

You may not use USAIS services until you have read this Agreement. If you do not accept or agree to this Agreement, you should not apply for any services on this website. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at: [email protected]. USAIS.org is not a Government Agency.

Still I agree that they are wrong to make it appear like they are a govt agency. Their site should clearly explain the relationship.
