    Is coffee bad?

I am really addicted to coffee now, i am up to 5-6 cups per day.
I get headaches and am really tired when i do not have coffee. Do you think this is bad? I'm started to get worried.

I drink around 6-7 cups a day. I don't think coffee offers any addition to me, but I need it in order to concentrate. I don't tend to drink it on weekends, and I don't miss it.

//It's booze & ***s (as in cigarettes) which are killing me.

    I've got to edit this:

It's booze & cigarettes which are killing me.

    YES!

2 much coffe/ caffine can cause you lots of problems, take it from someone whose passed a stone once. Also it can lead to problems sleeping besides 8 glasses of h20 is the best for ya. heck, i cant even drink one since i am addicted to coke, i sneak coca-cola while my wifes at work. probably why i have so many problems but i started using B complex vitamins to boost my energy and believe me. IT WORKS! So try for more h20 and vitamins and stay away from the caffine. you dont want to have a baby like i did, crap hurts to even think about it still.
    Later and good luck.

Well caffeine isn't exactly vitamin B. I don't think it will kill you though. If you smoke, you'll die from lung cancer before you will from that java.

And to overdose on caffeine, you'd have to drink something like 100 cups in an hour.

FYI - One and one half gallons of espresso would contain the lethal dosage of caffiene.

    Well. What can I say?

Just drink your coffee and have done with it! I love it.

I bet if you drunk decaf you wouldnt feel withdrawal symptoms. Tell you-its all in the mind with coffee.

I've got a big problem when it comes to coffee & coke, Imust stand up and say : "Hi, my name is Bios Ninja. And I'm an adict!"

When at work, I drink about 10 cups of coffee in the day. Over weekends, about 3-4 litres of coke a day!!

I admit I have a problem, but what else is there to keep me awake and focused.

Sounds like an addiction to me.

Edit: I assume you did mean addiction right? Addition doesn't really make sense there.

Caffeine is nice to get you going but I've learned to manage without it. I probably maybe have 1 cup every other month for social reasons. I'm also trying to cut down on my soda intake. I probably have a couple a week now. Primarily I drink juice, gatorade, and take centrum vitamins every day. I think I have more energy now than if I were a daily coffee drinker.
    Try not.

I guess I'm somewhat like you. I'll have a coke (we call all sodas cokes here) every once-in-a-while, maybe one or two a month, but beyond that I drink water and gatorade most of the time. I'll have some coffee maybe 3 or 4 times a year.
