that could be a trojan true, but it's also likely you either have jumpers set wrong or some sort of software glitch in the driver, my friend had a very similar problem after installing a dvd drive and he found it to be one of those (he wasn't sure which because he tried to fix them both at once)
try checking your cables 100x, and uninstall-reinstall your drivers
