Anyone know of a way to exorcise a poltergeist? I appear to have one in my 52X CD drive...
Ever since I added a CD writer about 6 months ago my first CD drive has been acting up. The button on the front doesn't work (have to use eject in explorer to open the damn thing), and it opens and closes at will.
The opening and closing is completely random. Sonetimes it'll be fine for a couple of weeks, then it'll open and close evey 5 minutes for the next month...
The jumpers on both drives are set and are being recognised perfectly... I've sorta learned to live with it now, but any ideas would be appreciated, thanks...
