I got a new dog and need to name it. Its a male, any ideas for cool or humorous names? Heres some shots of the dog if that helps.

I promised myself that my next pet's name would be Elroy...
You know, from the Jetsons? That name is so rad...

You can have it (but I'm still naming my next pet Elroy; unless it's
a girl, then I'm naming it Elroya)...

    Sorry, I have another idea....

Gizmo. From Gremlins... I like that name.

You can always be a nerd about it and name your dog "Bjarne."

I know one dog called DEEFER.

Owner couldnt decide either, so he called it D for dog.

Quite a good name I think.

My grandma inherited a dog that had not been 'officially' named anything. The previous owners had taken to refering to the animal as 'piece of s**t' all the time. By the time my grandma got hold of it the only thing she could do to get its attention was to name it 'paschet' since it sounded relatively close. It was a doberman.

Humper (Like thumper, but it's not a rabbit)
Ron (I named my budgie ron)
Bjarne Stroustrup (As someone else suggested, this would be hilarious. You could mail Bjarne with pictures of your dog and tell him you named it after him)
    Hector (I don't know.. but it's funny)

I prefer human names for my animals: Greg, Ron, Lance, Murry... etc.

    How about : Hoover?

Hoover like in Vacuum cleaner brand. Now every time you drop some food on the floor, just call him and the mess will be cleared right away.

This thread has made me chuckle for the last 5 mins, purely because when I was a lad, my mate's mum named his new dog, 'Gay'. No joke, it was hilarious every time I went round his house. Goodness knows why she chose that and I definitely don't recommend copying it.

Chuckle chuckle.....simple things please simple minds I guess.

Call it Ken. Can't get much better than that. Ken or Gay. (God, I know I'm gonna get railed on for putting my name in the same sentence as "gay"...)

Think about it. "Here, gay! Here, gay! ::knocking on neighbor's door:: Excuse me, but have you seen my poor, little Gay?"
