    For me it's been about 8 months, I've started C++ in the university since I'm a Computer Sciences student, we didn't take any programming back in school.

    I've been with C++ for around 3 months. Hehe, you should have seen me when I first started (im sure you guys remember); I couldn't even get 'Hello World' to compile!

    I started with C++ in the beginning of 2001 which makes it just over a year and a half

    interesting that the longest time on there is 3 years. I fit into that category nicely but I wouldn't call myself an old veteran. I would think you should have 5 and 10 years on there as choices but who cares.

    i just began c++ a week ago. i startet with basic, but fastly switched to assmbly. i staied with assembly for four years and then tryed pascal but didn't like it. then i chose c. now i also programm oberon because of my studies.. but as most of the other people i don't like it :-)

    3 years, but i actually started to get into it like a year and a half ago. i decided to abandon VB and learn C++...and i love it

    i started with C++ 4 years ago in 1999. within a month of using C++, I found this place, and have been a member ever since. Oh those were good days back in the old board...
