    Well which route would you prefer to become a dictator........ Well i would first try to get hold of my country's president post and after getting the post declaring an emergency and then suspend the constitution and the governments..

    Ummm, that wouldn't work here in the US!

    Seriously? I would use 'gradualism'. First you grab the throne. Then you assure everyone that there will be minor changes. Slowly reorganize the beurocracy until it is slim and efficient. Devote your time to rebuilding the nation such that everyone benefits. Then you declare topless tuesdays (not a moment sooner!!!).
    Code:
    #include <cmath>
    #include <complex>
    bool euler_flip(bool value)
    {
        return std::pow
        (
            std::complex<float>(std::exp(1.0)),
            std::complex<float>(0, 1)
            * std::complex<float>(std::atan(1.0)
            *(1 << (value + 2)))
        ).real() < 0;
    }

    By the way, Vasanth - you Indians are a ruthless bunch! It's hard to believe that the wisest man of all time was born into such a country!
    Code:
    #include <cmath>
    #include <complex>
    bool euler_flip(bool value)
    {
        return std::pow
        (
            std::complex<float>(std::exp(1.0)),
            std::complex<float>(0, 1)
            * std::complex<float>(std::atan(1.0)
            *(1 << (value + 2)))
        ).real() < 0;
    }

    well may be.. but historically u cant say that.. India never invaded any other kingdom or county.. it neither set up colonies neither exploited other countries to its advantage.... And still in the 1971 war with pakistan.. we beat pakistan.. we had more than 100000 pakistani soldiers as POW(prisoner of war) and had the pakistani establishment at its knees... but we let of the soldiers and we even gave back the land we captured..... and said we will get it back diplomatically through dialog... So u say we are ruthless... and we are also a nation who got its freedom without the use of violence.... Just because some maniacs here cause communal disharmony it does not mean we are ruthless.. And also remember during the world war we were the only country which started the NAM..(NON align movment..) that is it stayed neutral...... And we dont talk about jumping to war with the use of the word terrorism... And we were only one of the few countries which accepted all religion and faiths into out country... Many faiths and religion came to India and prospered.. But in other countries that was not allowed.. india is country with more than 600 languages and more than 300 kinds of people... and yet we manage to stay as one piece called India.. so u call us ruthless... Well in that case America hides behind the curtain of peace and trys to ruthlessly controll other countries to its advantage. .... SO WHO IS RUTHLESS... AND WHO WAS RUTHLESS... the past and the present will give you the answer..

    I suppose then that makes me 'ruthless'. After all I am English.

    And we did have a 'bit of an empire' around your neck of the woods if I remember.

    Still, the weather was nice, and now we have good food.

    Such is life.

    I agree with that. I also recall that America overthrew a democratic government in South America in the 50's because it was in the commercial interests of a banana importer/exporter. I believe that's were the term 'banana republic' comes from.

    But, you say Indians aren't ruthless. I quote again,

    >so first i shall bring all the labour union leaders under the gun

    Well my opinion does not make an entire country ruthless.... And i said that because.. it is these labour union as***** who are stoping the industrial advancement in our country... Unlike in your country where a company can ley off peope here they cannot.. If a company lays of people then the company can be sold to pay their compenesation...... And so on.. so the laws are reforming but the labour union leaders opose it....

    And yes i agree that the british ruled us.....Yes but the british were not ruthless.... In a way they thaught us about our own history and they even exposed us to western education system.... and even made us unit agains them.. else i think we would have had around 30 countries in now what is called as india.. that is because there are around 27 states here each with a different language and distinct people.. You believe it or not.. if i go to the neighbouring state i cannot communicate with all the people there.. because thay have a different language and mine is different.. SO i would say that the british were the reason to unite us... What i mean by ruthless is invaders and settlers who destroyed the local culture.. like the Mughals who built their mosques upon demolished temples and forced millions to convert etc etc.... But no once can complain about history..

    My point is we Indians are not ruthless as you think.. may be you can say i am ruthless but not the entire nation....

    And Vasanth, you are not the exception, though I am not saying "all" indians are ruthless. Just most of the ones I've met have been cold, unfriendly, snobby people. I have yet to make friends with one, in fact. I have friends that are Mexican, South American, Canadian, British, European, Russian, Australian, Irish, etc, etc. But no Indians! Perhaps there are just too many cultural and psychological differences between us, not sure there. How do Indians view American people?

    Ruthless, no, greedy, yes. Ok, well that is a complex issue.
    Code:
    #include <cmath>
    #include <complex>
    bool euler_flip(bool value)
    {
        return std::pow
        (
            std::complex<float>(std::exp(1.0)),
            std::complex<float>(0, 1)
            * std::complex<float>(std::atan(1.0)
            *(1 << (value + 2)))
        ).real() < 0;
    }

    TRYING TO BE NICE-TRYING TO BE NICE

    Near where I live there is a vast Asian community.

    As Sebastiani says-nobody wants to be friends, nobody wants to speak to the 'white trash' and nobody wants to leave their community.

    We have no integration-as demonstrated by the recent race riots in the North of England.

    It is (I think) cultural differences that cause the probs.

    One thing is certain, nobody living near me is 'ruthless'. We could all get along if effort was made on BOTH sides.

    Hope that did not even sound remoteley racist,as it was not meant to be. People tend to jump to conclusions when I post.Lol.

    >if i go to the neighbouring state i cannot communicate with all the people there.. because thay have a different language and mine is different.. SO i would say that the british were the reason to unite us...<

    Well, we have not done a good job have we? I can drive 3 miles and not be able to converse with one person in English. And that is from a community of thousands.

    Ruthless, no, greedy, yes. Ok, well that is a complex issue.

    Well the 1st reason for that might be that ciz indians are a bit close knit community.. When u see Indian at our place they are in an alien land trying to make some money.. And they think that most of yoy guys are racist.. there have been many instance where indians have been called pakis and humiliated.. this makes them fell bitter...

    And yes we view americans as rich who have money to throw around.... And who will does not like to be with other people than white... And all Indians are not the same.. there are 300 and odd kinds of Indians.. (different cultural background..).. i dont know hcih one u r talkin about.. i fyou need Mumbikars(An variety of indians who like in bombay) they are more outspoken than the westerners.. that will amuse you...

    I would become a Cult leader...

    'Come hither, my children of the night, its time for you, to do, that voodoo, that you, do so well'

    besides its tax free.
    All I need is a charismatic 'prophet'. They will convince the masses before being tragicaly martyred to the cause.

    any takers?

    >>vasanth: Unlike in your country where a company can ley off peope here they cannot.. If a company lays of people then the company can be sold to pay their compenesation...... And so on.. so the laws are reforming but the labour union leaders opose it....

    Careful what you wish for.

    We have a company here that sacked some of its sailors and replaced them with overseas staff at lower wages.
    As they "only have responsibilty to make money for their shareholders". The ship never leaves Australian waters.
    Now the rest of us pay, through our taxes, the compensation to the workers in the form of unemployment benefits.

    >> My point is we Indians are not ruthless as you think

    If you believe the 'Black Taj Mahal' (that Shah Jehan could not finish his Black Taj opposite the white Taj before he was imprisoned by his son).

    Thats pretty cold, locking up your father, to look at his unfinished work till he died.
