Need comments on site layout
I'll keep it simple; today I've made a layout for a portal page for my friend's soon to be game server. All he needs is a "game server" kind of page if you know what I mean. I finished what I was going to give to him as a layout and so I just want to know if it looks right.
Give me comments on how it looks, what I should do to improve it.
(and don't bother telling me it's thin; it's only to serve as a portal to the stats, and post server news, he may decide to expand later)

Use web-safe colors. I can see the difference between the border images and the actual background.
colors do need slight tweaking....but it's not bad, better than green on purple
I do like how the first thing to load is the links, that's the most important thing, all the pics are just fluff, extra stuff to throw in later. All in all i'd say you did a good job.
On the news link, include the (updated) in the link, it's easier for the user to click it with a larger target for the mouse.

its good and all but im not he kind of person that likes tons of grpahics on the layout. i like stes that are bassicly tables in tables. (even though im on a cable connection) but its great otherwise

... and that's a good idea with the colors; it only looks right in 32-bit color mode right now
