    Hey mate I didn't use a dictionary.

Surely it is acceptable to assume that both a sniper and a serial killer are both intent on killing people whom they have never really known.

I just wonder why labelling a rifleman a 'sniper' makes him feel more empowered than a man who stabs people and would consequently be recognised as a serial killer.

A sniper has skill. Usually when you say
sniper you don't mean a serial killer but a
    FBI snipper or military sniper.

This person makes me sick. My little sister goes to school in DC and every day my family worries about her. And how in the hell could you shoot an innocent 10 year old kid?????? The world we live in is a very sick place. I hope that when they find him that they dont arrest him but instead just execution him on the spot and show no mercy towards him.

Inu'r country guns are legal and these are some of the problems you have to face.. here in india you need to get a liscence and which is usually very tuff to get.. You are not sold a gun untill u get one and you can own only one gun and a gun say a shot gun or a rifel and stuff and not hitech stuffs.... Here every person who has a gun has a amo quota.. say 50 catrdges per year per gun... And each catridge has its number noted and connectd to the owner of the weapon so the shot will reveal to whom the catridge belonged and so on..

in your country buyin a gun seems like buyin a book from a store.. Strange......

There's a very good chance the gun he is using isn't high tech at all. It could simply be a well made hunting rifle with a scope on it. Purchasable at wal-mart.

vasanth, I never bought a gun but as I understand it there are permits and background checks that must be done before purchase. I don't believe its as simple as "buying a book". I will say this though... if a guy like this wanted a gun while in india, there are most likely illegal ways he could obtain one.

ok there have been multiple references to gaming. Can somebody elaborate on this? Is there really something obviously related to online gaming about "I am God"?

I've bought two handguns in my life. I traded in the first to buy my second. Here in Virginia, all you need to do is buy a gun, fill out a form, and show the guy behind the counter your Driver's License to prove you live where you said you did on the form. They will hold your gun at the store while the background check is made. After a period of four or five days you can return to the store and if your background check didn't reveal any problems, then you can take your gun home.

I believe this is much a result of the American conservative society. It leaves many people at the bottom of it's pyramid, who will rage. It's police is much for protecting the upper-class and the middle-class from this under-class rage, which will only cause more rage.

I believe it's not the right way.

    that makes sense Zewu

capitalism has allowed the american "poor" to do better than some of the more wealthy in many other nations. The thing about unequal distribution is that there isn't a fixed amount of wealth that has to be divided up. The rising of the wealthy can coincide with the rising of the wealth of the poor. Increased production results in more "stuff" to go around. socialism prevents this type of production. That's what some people don't get. Wealth is not about how many dollar bills a nation has but how productive its people are. So you can't just evenly divide to be fair.

aside from that, economy has nothing to do with this thread

Conservatism hasn't got anything to do with economy. It's an ideology
