    turbo linux 6.0 server

i got a free copy on cd a long while ago when i bought a nic, i think its about time i started experimenting more with it. Im thinking about putting a partition on my old computer and installing it, the computers specs are as follows:

    Celeron 400@500
    128mb pc 100 sdram
    onboard audio
    linksys nic
    geforce2mx agp

now i know that this will run linux fine, but im not sure if there is support for the video card, i know the nic obviously since thats where the disk came from, and memory and processor are and audio. so should i do it?

NVidia cards are arguably the best supported video cards in Linux. NVidia official supports them (provides drivers for them, at least). They are currently the only brand of card that can run UT2k3 under linux as well (although it's likely too much for a celery to handle).

Back up whatever it is you need to keep from the old computer, and have fun with it. I've never touched Turbolinux myself, but I'd still advise using it.

Haha i didnt think about looking at nvidia's website i knew they had linux drivers but i thought they were just for a specific flavor, or are they for all versions of linux? theres nothing really important on that computer, i just use it to test code on a 98se box. I can just partition the hd then install linux right?

    [EDIT]
if so then this will be my weekend project
