    Forcing 30 day break

Does any one know of a way that would prevent me from accessing certen web pages, not the whole site just certain pages in it for a period of 30 days. I spend to much time at certain places *cough* namly the GD board*. I have no will power what so ever, so I need something to do it for me.

Also If this is possble I would like to know two things?

First would it be possable to run the OLD Board on my computer for personal use?

Second if I could would someone send it to me? (How big is it anyways) I just want the threads, Profiles, and other things like that are ussless. I need to be able to delete threads, post though. I will not put the Board Back up on a server, but I will orgnize the information found on it and releace that.

the link to the old board is still up; unfortunately, it ain't
    workin'.
You should be able to set the preferences in your web browser
to allow you on the c boards, but no the gd board. I wouldn't
advise it, though, as I've seen several people go cold turkey:
not a pretty sight. Also, you would have to set the preferences
for every computer you use. That would take superhuman will power.

Don't go cold turkey...try a gradual slow down over a week. You'll ween yourself off the dark bosom of the general board sooner or later.

Rick if set the preferences in the web browser all I would have to do is change them, or just get a new browser

Great Idea, one problem the girlfriend would take up my time, insted of the GD board

Did I mention the fact that i get annoyed when I can't come.

The reason I need to do this is I need to program more. (I have not done any since god pong) also I need to finsh my web site witch I also have not done since that was posted. this board takes up to much time so I need to fource a break. The break only needs to work on this computer since I can't program work on site well using a diffrent computer.

you could perhaps get the webmaster to block access to this board.

    Well... yes... there is that...

How about you ask the webmaster to set up some web to cell phone thing whereby it rings your phone if it's been less than 30 days since your last visit.

Then all you need to do is wire up a transformer to your phone(or even better a metal chair) to increase the voltage/amps. Just make sure it's amped up enough to fling you clear across the room... You'll learn in no time...
