Thread: Do you belive in magic

Well okay we have occult courses .Have you heard about methaphysics ???These are the type of courses that deal with supernatural powers ..Okay when i say magic i mean MAGIC like Telephaty i dont mean angel , demon and that type of religion ****..I personally dont belive in relegion its all to fake to belive ... but when i say magic it simply means some thing that has no awnser at the movement...Like 1000Yrs ago a magnet would be a magic???
Okay there is a simple logic .We use a fraction of our brain for our daily work if we could use double or even triple i will be able to do some stuff that u cant ....You have people who specially go to India to do all those kind of stuff.....
Clyde ur explanation about the food that was contaminated with a yeah i have heard about it ...Its like saying a 15 yrs old uses Ping Of Death (computer expliot) on a system that has the hole and crashes it..That does not mean that all hackers are the same ???

Well, when I think of magic, I picture a magician at a birthday party, so I dont believe in that kind, since FOX kindly showed us how its all done.

I dont know about the other stuff, Id just rather not think about it.

I like those "behind the magic shows" - some of those tricks are so stupid they're clever.

There is a difference, when people say "magic", they don't mean just that there is no CURRENT explanation, they mean there can NEVER be an explanation (I mean REAL explanation, not:- its an incarnation of mystic energies from the alpha -z- plane.... ). Thats why in this day and age we no longer refer to phenomena that lack explanations as magic, for quite a while it was not understood how the bubblebee managed to fly, we didn't pass it off as magic, we simply admitted we lacked an explanation (it is known now).

Wrong, it is a modern myth that humans only use 10% or so of their brains, its simply false. Whilst the cerbral cortex and its associated functions (personality, concious stuff etc.) only take up a portion, that is not to say the rest sits there unused. Its all doing stuff; sensory processing, homeostasis, heart regulation, etc. etc.

Stuff? I can tell you, they don't do telepathy, they don't float in the air, through deep meditation it is thought people can gain influence over their autonomic nervious systems, as such it is possible for people to lower their heart rate considerabley and slow their rate of respiration, which whilse remarkeable is not paranormal or supernatural or "magical" in the slightest.

Well quite, but it offers an example of how people can come to believe in magics, without them really existing. Hence nullifieing the arguement that because X-number of people used to believe in it, it must be true!

Whenever a real investigation has been done into supposed paranormal/psychic/magic/etc. activity it always turns out to have normal physical explanations. James Randi's offer of i forget how much cash to ANYONE who can demonstrate ANY paranomal activity in the lab under the supervision of scientists and magicians remains unclaimed..... wonder why....
