Smile hi all

Just dropping by giving a breif intro, My names Kevin a second year student at college, i'm 17 living in the UK. I enjoy programming, learning, learning from my mistakes, boxing, football, computer security.

this year i have moved from vb6 to c, i can happilly say that i'm liking c. Don't worry, even though i may ask newbie questions, i do have books that i have been studying word for word, so when i post i will try to post to the best of my ability to help you understand my problem and what i'm trying to accomplish as well as all my code being indented so that the code can be easily read.

Anyway, that's it from me. Have a good day all, hope to see you all around.

Regards,
Kevin.

With regards to that code indenting so that others can read it, just use the [ code ] [/ code ] tags.
Just dont leave spaces like that or else they wont work.

Welcome aboard.

When you say college you mean A-levels, rather than Uni right?

OMG! A newbie to the board, yet hes more polite than most, articulate, doesnt talk in all caps, no caps, no punctuation, too much punctuation, or haxor speak. He actually _wants_ to learn instead of being fed answers, and plans on trying to solve his own problems before asking questions. I'm liking you already.

All I can say is: Welcome! Welcome!

ditto L@D. But it isn't like a newbie to be like this, so there must be something fishy going on... <sniffs> hmmm... air is clear at present, have to wait and see

Anyways, welcome Kev.

To reiterate MethodMans point, please read this thread before posting any code, and make sure you do a board search to see if your question has already been asked.

Now, stick around and have fun!
When all else fails, read the instructions.
If you're posting code, use code tags:
/* insert code here */
Also When People Post Like They Are Posting The Title To Some Long And Unknown Work Of Literature.

that is REALLY annoying.

Thankyou for your warm welcome guys, it's a friendly community .

Clyde, I'm on my second year of a Btec-national diploma in software development. Perhaps if i get the grades that i want, i will be able to get into uni to study computer science...i'll just have to wait an see.

I guess i know what you all are thinking about a newbies first post, i'm part of quite a few large forums, i guess you could say i know how to use forums quite well (search features) and how to ask questions quite well so that people understand them first time without 10 replies saying that my questions are not clear.

Thank you for all your welcomes.

Regards,
Kevin.
