Anyone else watch it? I find it really entertaining and it has had some pretty bad *** **** in it.

i watched a couple of em, but found the story lines + acting really bad.....
i don't know why...
I didnt like the episode that i just watched but most of them are pretty damn good, especially if you see them on showtime
It has to be the best sci-fi in the whole of ever! lol
Kree'ta Tau'ri! Chaapa'ai!
The only programs I make time to watch are SG-1 and the West Wing. I watch hem both pretty much every week.
I started watching it becasue I liked MacGyver and was interested in his new show (which was kinda reminiscient of MacGyver until season four when they started dumbing O'Neill down)
What I find particularly interesting about SG-1 is they manage to avoid using too many of the cliche'd sci-fi plots. They have used some (like the one where Jackson was invisible and could walk thru walls but not interact with anyone, how many times has that been done), mind you, but in general it is fresh and well written. They also manage to avoid DS-9's late-run pitfall of trying to set a war drama to a sci-fi background. And they have a sense of humor about them.

Except of course Babalon 5. You're forgiven for forgetting it this time, but next time there'll be a whipping.
IMO, Babalon 5 was the best of any sci-fi series I've ever seen. Yes, including any of the Star Treks. *ducks barrage of pocket protectors thrown by the Trekies*

OMG, someone else who thinks this, besides me. <virtual handshake L@D!> I just love that program... the whole story was superb.

The best SciFi there ever was was Quantum Leap.......that ruled...especially towards the end.....
I cought a rerun of the last episode a few weeks back and nostalgia came flooding back
SLIDERS!
jk
i kinda like Farscape....
>I just love that program... the whole story was superb.
Of course, write it like a novel, have the entire story laid out and fit the episodes to the story. Boom, you've got a winner.

My best code is written with the delete key.
I think Alias is the best show ever created.
For best Sci-Fi: The X-Files (that's sci-fi, right?)....
Staying away from General.
>>I think Alias is the best show ever created.
It's good, but it isn't _that_ good, imho. But it's relatively new, so I suppose it's still got time to become better. It does seem to have a good story line, one that follows through the episodes.
>>For best Sci-Fi: The X-Files (that's sci-fi, right?)....
Na, the X-Files _was_ good, but it lost its plot. It should have been about 2 or 3 series shorter. I found it bumbled along without actually going anywhere for too long in the later episodes, and that only the first and last shows of a season where really any good.

Sounds like the "good design" paid off, eh?!

ALLEY MCBEAL!!!

[RE: Babalon 5]
The acting was better than what we're seeing on TV now (with the exception of a very few shows. i.e. Sopranos) and the writers were very origional. I never saw any junk and they didnt fall back on boring or standard plot lines. It was like watching the worlds longest movie in 1 hour segments. I was disapointed when it ended, but it was so cool the way it did!
>>have the entire story laid out and fit the episodes to the story.
Thats what I mean. The whole thing was like some sort of uber-movie. It wasnt like other shows where there was weak off-shoot episodes that didnt further either the storyline or characters.
>>Anyone else watch it? [SG-1]
I've seen a few episodes. I'm not a huge fan. I find the acting to be somewhat forced occasionally.

Exactly. You can only go nowhere for so long.
