I'm happy today. It's true. I've never been happy before.
And I've got a job, I will start on monday.
I never thought this would happen.

Congrats on the job, Series! Good to see you in a cheerful mood finally.

Cool. Care to expand on this? What are you going to be doing?
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Thanks!
I don't know exactly, I'll get the details on monday, it's not computer related though. I'll be working as a carpenter! It's not what I want, but it doesn't really matter.

I understand you there... sometimes it's just good to be in work, keeping yourself busy. Also, that way, future employers will look at your reference from this company and see what a good job you've done (hopefully), whereas if you were sitting around on your bum doing nothing...

Wooden bomb cases then?

Thats exactly what I do. I think you'll find it has a lot of rewards.
a) First off its like getting paid to stay in top shape.
b) In the summer you get a great tan.
c) You learn useful skills that you would otherwise have to pay someone else to do for you.
d) You feel like you've done something really useful at the end of the day.
e) People seem to actually enjoy hearing tales of the various apendages you've alsmot chopped off or hacked up, or the tallest things you fallen off of or had fall on _you_.
f) Often its cash under the table which means more $$$ for _you_.
g) Chicks like guys that are dirty and smell like sawdust. Dont ask me why, they just do. I dont ask questions.
h) Your job rules what all your friends do for less money than you.
i) A good employer will often supply large quantities of beer at the end of the job.
Okay; Didnt mean to list that many but I had a good day today, okay?

EntropySink. You know you have to click it.
I never really thought about being a carpenter, but the way lightatdawn puts it makes it seem romantic and fun. Do carpenters generally get paid a lot???
Oh and...
good luck Series
as far as i know(and it's not that far) beginer carpenters get paid more then amature programmers.
and
good job seris!
Cool - just don't chop your hands off
Good Goin', Series!

Never end on learning~
One of my very few school qualifications was woodwork. I have a little workshop behind the garage where I play with bits of wood when I've nothing else to do.
