I refused to be nominated. The only way that I would moderate this board is if all of the existing moderators had there moderator status removed. BTW this would be a very good thing for this website. Than I would be the super moderator. I would need some help however so Aran and Rick Barclay would have to become super moderators as well.

From what I've seen most of the moderators are politicians. They are the worst programmers ever, it's all about ass kissing. It would be an honor to loose the vote, that's why Prelude doesn't want to win I imagine. Well as long as those turkeys stay out of my way I suppose it doesn't matter to me.

what's fordy's attitude toward this? i haven't heard whether he favored his moderatorship or not.

A (possibly) fatal flaw that I have is to push myself to excel at something if people tell me that I can't do it or wouldn't be good at it. That's how I got into programming. I would like to believe that when given the responsibility of dealing with such issues, I would try harder to do so instead of leaving it for someone else. So far it hasn't been up to me to resolve conflicts, so I ignore them as best I can.

sounds like you say you're up to the challenge of moderating. to be perfectly honest, i went a little overboard in my last post saying you'd be a bad mod. the fact is, if govtcheez can do it, you can.

but i'm not sure what your decision is. it's pretty clear that you are voted for above all the others, with a relative margin for safety. you said that you would do so to not disappoint the people who voted for you. you also said you were speechless. on the other hand, in the above quote you argue that you are capable. you haven't given a strong 'yes' or 'no'. so it all boils down to this:

do you want it?

maybe its just me but, i wouldnt call these neccessarily minor...
and good coding practice starts with the "little things".

the entire debate here is leadership ability vs. coding ability.

It's hard to judge one's leadership abilities unless you go see what they have done (like fordy with FD, me with CoZ, etc.), and a few of the people in this pole have no solid background for us to reference.
