As far as your scale goes, it's not very useful to give terms to IQs. You're defining something you don't understand with terms that you probably don't have well-defined meanings for.

IQ scores are based on a bell curve, not on a linear scale - look it up for more information; I wouldn't use the chart you posted for a project, though. It doesn't even use the standard terms that psychologists correlate to the various scores. You also need to differentiate between IQ scores on various tests (the Stanford-Binet test is only one of several).

Keep in mind that IQ tests measure only a limited range of intelligences; whether or not you believe there are seven types of basic intelligence or only a few, there is good reason to believe that there are at least several ways of measuring intelligence of individuals, each of which give wildly different results.

Furthermore, IQ tests are tainted by a history of being used in negative and mean-spirited ways. The original use of the IQ test scale was the try to determine who needed the most help in the classroom (note: originally, an IQ was determined by dividing the mental age by the actual age and then multiplying by one hundred. How you determine the mental age? The first solution was to simply give a lot of idiotic tests and hope the bad ones cancelled out.) Unfortunately, they were often given under poor testing conditions - take as an example the tests given to members of the military before WWII - the conditions were atrocious, but were still used to separate groups. (Incidentally, it was possible to score a negative IQ on those tests! The test takers took points off of people who got nothing right if they determined it was necessary.)

Take a look at, for instance, Stephen J. Gould's The Mismeasure of Man, for more information on the history of IQ tests.

I was under the impression that your IQ value is relative to the IQ of the general population, with 100 therefore being average. Dont know if thats true though...

The bit above has gotta be true though, I'm pretty sure a normal distribution of IQ's is observed throughout a population.

People are judged too much on their social skills; not how hard
