Yes I would have to agree.

Are we going to invade every country in the world that transports missiles from one place to another?

I don't know if we should attack or not (great openning huh?)

If we "know" that it's a biological weapons plant then perhaps there is justifacation, but you can't be upset by Iraq moving missles around. Every night for the past 4 months someone on a United States news channels, if not Bush himself has said that an attack on Iraq was going to happen. If that's not reason for Hussain to prepare what is?

I think increased diplomatic pressure (if that's possible) may be in order, but IF we commit to a fight we cannot afford to loose it. It very well could be do or die (or atleast an economic and repution crash). Therefore I'd prefer to wair for a more concrete threat to the US I'd rather hang back.

(and I know my spelling sucks)

It would be imprudent to invade Iraq at this time. True, Saddam Hussein does have a history of despotism; but, recently, he has done nothing in particular to the United States that would require the U.S.'s invasion of his country. His treatment of his people, especially the Kurdish ethnic minority, and the accusation that he is harboring or developping weapons of potential mass destruction are not new problems. After September 11, when the United States needs true allies the most, invading a country unjustly (as the U.S.'s allies would call it) would not be the right thing to do. There will not be a multinational invasionary coalition this time! The United States will have to fight Iraq alone or not fight at all.

Many of us are at or very near military age, the age at which we can be drafted to join the army, marines, etc. Would you really like to be drafted for a war you do not believe in, a war you believe is not right or just, a war that may just be to boost politicians' ratings for elections? Should America die for the freedom of another country when invading it might just create more problems for America?

Personally, I think the US should prepare for war with him. However, they should actually hold off the attack until he does something. Just my $.02.

CNN propaganda - nothing more, nothing less. Any missile equipped nation on the planet (including UK & US) regularly move such 'ordinance' around to evade detection.

Reporting it now and in that manner is nothing more than a stultifyingly dull attempt to manipulate (US) public opinion.
I think the diffrence here and the reason it is reported is because they are moving into a suspected bio weapons site.

Giving advance warning of an intent to strike sometime next year is nothing more nor less than an attempt to foment a popular uprising in Iraq; such threats are not directed at S.H. & his Republican Guard, but implicitly at the 'innocent' civilians of Iraq. ie if you don't rise up and overthrow him we are going to bomb the crap out of you.

Recent reports from iraqi civillians (but foriegn reporters) that if it ends the 20 years of war they'll take one more. Moreover, I think the announcing if nothing else forces SH to play Ragenomics. He is building up his forces and calling in the reserve \s, reports say that he is running out of cash quick.

Besides the point it isn't exactly US policy to bomb civilians, as i recall we are agienst SH not iraqi's we are supporting dozens of iraqi anti-SH groups.

    >>Reagenomics<< What is it?
First of all it's misspelled...sry bout that....

Was the basic policy under President Reagan.....we spent a ton of cash developing forcing USSR to do the same...they went broke first and collasped...we win.

More spin. Regardless of the technological capability of accurately hitting targets, if the weapons used are tipped with U238 then the 'collateral damage radius' is considerably larger - and more persistent - than we would otherwise be lead to believe by the media.
Granted but I don't think the US intends to use nukes, especially first...if we do then my vote is NO hands down.

Do you forget that the CIA recruited, trained and supported Osama ibn Laden et al when it suited US foreign policy during the cold war? Do you also forget that when the Mujahadin openly rebelled in the early 1990's and looked like kicking SH & his republican cronies out that the US (and presumably UK) provided air cover for SH's ground troops? This isn't a criticism of US foreign policy: clearly the US must - and should - act in the best interests of primarily the US and secondarily its allies. Clearly it was decided that SH was preferrable to a fundamentalist Islamic regime - and recent history now demonstrates that the US may well have got that one right.
True but whereas Afganistan didn't have an economy to fall back on to develop a new government and economy after the cold war thus leading to bin laden etc, as long as there's oil Iraq does.

And either way I think we've gotten better at rebuilding and makin friends so in this case i would seriously consder taking the "Devil I don't know"

The USA wants to nuke Iraq. It is enevitable. It's the same story in Israel. The USA is Israel, they are one.

**** yes. and i might add that it's not in us's best interest to attact sh, or should i use the more correct term, Iraq, becuase i don't think they are gonna have too many friends helping them fight the war against terrorism v. 2 because iraq hasn't harmed us in any way in recent history that gives them the opportunity to start a war and show off some military power. I know Canada isn't gonna be in it(not that u care anyways) because i know canadians are ****ing tiered of americans dropping bombs on us right after hitting us right accross the face with a 2x4 and giving us crap the detroit way

and after golfinguy, that was my two cents.
oh i'm sorry! i didn;t realize my fist was rushing to meet ur face!
