I get the bomb thing... If you're complaining about the quality of cars from detroit, then... well, that's not exactly the US's fault, is it? (plus I don't see a ton of quality automobiles coming out of ottawa, thanks)

Many of us are at or very near military age, the age at which we can be drafted to join the army, marines, etc. Would you really like to be drafted for a war you do not believe in, a war you believe is not right or just, a war that may just be to boost politicians' ratings for elections?
The military doesn't need to draft you or anyone else to invade Iraq.
Should America die for the freedom of another country when invading it might just create more problems for America?
So, what you're saying is that as long as you stay happy watching TV, driving around in your car, talking on your cell phone, eating Big Macs at McDonald's, you really don't give a flying **** if the rest of the world goes straight to ****? Don't forget that a lot of foreigners died fighting for us during the Revolutionary War - all so that you could have the freedom to sit there on your ass and type on the computer that as long as it doesn't affect you, you really don't care about the rest of world. Don't forget either that there are a lot of foreigners in our military right now. They're willing - why aren't you?

Govtcheez, Commander is referring to when the Americans booed the Canadian National Anthem during a Raptors @ Pistons game in April. Our anthem was also booed in Boston and New York.

reagenomics is a term for reagan's economic policy during the 80's. it's also known as supply-side economics, and by democrats as trickle-down economics. basically, taxes are cut for corporations, and these corporations are expected to spend the money saved on increasing the pay or the number of jobs they provide. whether this works or not is really a matter of opinion. in realistic terms, though, it quadrupled our national debt, which is not a good thing...

i think it's in everyone's best interest not to start a war, a couple of nukes, (which will for surely get blown up in the minimum) could do big damages to the countries srrounding the countries involved. and quoting from XSquared's sig, "Always remember: there are few problems that can't be solved with massive explosions."

...who ever said the USA'd nuke iraq?

that'd be an insanely stupid thing to do. Saddam probably has agents all over the US waiting to detonate dirty-bombs and his nice little biological agents. These agents will probably detonate whatever they have if we go butzin' around Iraq with nukes.

Sheesh, you guys have no soft-side for subtlety, do you?

a war with iraq is uncalled for. we could easily win, but it's the day after that's the problem. what then? there are other more urgent problems we need to solve now, like the israeli/palestinian situation.

I think you should re-read that news report.

As it states that the US and UK are STILL at war with Iraq. I think bombing his country is an act of war. You have not stopped bombing him since the Gulf War.

In the Gulf War you covered Iraq in tonnes of radioactive material (U234 core ammo), destroyed most of the military hardware you sold him, but stopped short of removing him. Why?

You have then continued to fly over 3000 missions a year against him, blockaded his ports and demanded that he allow you to have spies in his country. (the UN's compounds cameras were used to help in the bombing under Butler)

Then the US vice president's family company sells Iraq US$millions in oil equipment even though he is banned from selling oil (to replace the stuff the US bombed earlier). Great business if you get to blow the equipment up every few years.

Now you keep threatening Iraq with war and when it does something to defend against your threats, you point it out as another reason to attack Iraq.

If you provoke a dangerous animal, who's fault is it when someone gets bitten?
