I used to have a program called DirectCD which allowed me to use Windows Explorer to easily just drag files from their places onto the CD, just like i would copy and paste any file from anywhere.
It was a lot easier than using some program like HP-CD Writer or Nero or something like that, because I could work with the files on the cd just like i did any other files on the hard drive when moving them from directory to directory.
When I moved from Win95 to WinXP way back last year, DirectCD stopped working. Even when I reinstall it, it does not work.
Therefore I have been forced to revert to other, less flexible programs to make cd's.
HP CD-Writer is probably the worst because it continously fails to make cd's.
I just recently got CloneCD, which is an excellent program, but it only copies cd's, it does not have the ability to create a cd from files on your hd, unless that file is a cd image file from a cd you are trying to copy.
So anyways, does anyone here have DirectCD? Do you know if there is an update I can download somewhere that will enable it to work under WinXP? Because I really would like this program....it is my favorite program to make cd's with unless I am making a music cd. If I am making a music cd, I like Easy CD Creator....unfortunately that also was rendered useless with the upgrade to XP, so I must revert to the horrible HP CD-Writer software.
Anyways, so anyone know of any downloads I can get to update my DirectCD to work with XP?
