Well, for one thing, it has already been ruled out that there will be a collusion in 2019...

and no, I wasn't scared, nor am I afraid of other asteriod collusions. I'm just an ignorant fool .

And maybe if the rest of us are lucky enough, it'll smack you in the fricking head and rattle your brain enough to allow you to actually make sense when you type.

so it wasn't just me who was thinking that...
in the interest of keeping to the topic: chances in a collision are one in 200,000. painting the asteroid white itself would cause the sun to push on it harder and out of harms way.

Even if it is going to hit.... I don't think that my fear would have anything to do with it. I really cannot do anything? IMHO, people living in this planet really cannot do anything with it if it were really to hit Earth...

Don't you all think so? Pointless to discuss about scared or not...

If that thing was going to hit earth, the US alone could get about 4000 nukes up their that are 150 times more powerful than the ones dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Also, since it would be in space where there naturally is radiation(i think), they could even use a hydrogen bomb or two.

Basically, if that thing comes remotely close to hitting us, it will be blown into dust.

It wasn't just you thinking that I couldn't get passed the 8th or 9th 'word' And am I correct in thinking that you are volunteering to paint it white for us? Good on you, if you need some help I can suggest some people to take with you

http://www.zetatalk.com/thub.htm - this really made me laugh, 9 months to go and life as we know it could all be over. Its just that all those telescopes aimed at the sky have missed this magnetic giant so far.
Couldn't think of anything interesting, cool or funny - sorry.
