I think VC++7 == VC++.NET
VC7 = VC.NET and it was released sometimes ago.
I have heard bad things from friends about VC++.NET and that it isnt great...
what is everybody elses opinion on it?
I have been playing with it for awhile and it is pretty cool.There definetly is a learning curve to find everything. I also found that it supports STL alot better then Vc6. I never us VC6 anymore so I guess I have to say I like it. What bad things have you heard about it?

It creates fine programs, the IDE is nice, clean and does everything I need. It's a good IDE and good compiler.
Maybe your friends can be a bit more precise about what
they don't like in VC.NET ?

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."
When in doubt, read the FAQ.
Then ask a smart question.

uhm... where is the difference ? If you compile managed C++ or unmanaged C++, it's still the same tool, isn't it ?
