    What's this cartoon?

I can't remember the name of this cartoon. I
used to watch it when I was a kid. It was
    probably my favorite one...

It was about these people that landed on a planet
filled with dinosaurs. They added weapons and
things to them. Rode them... There was a whole
toy line devoted to this show. I had some
of them. It was a really cool cartoon.

    Anybody know?

People riding dinosaurs, with weapons, huh?

    That'd be Dino-Riders then....

Had it on tape and everything...

There was one called "The Herculoids" that was a lot like you describe, but it was probably before your time. Their dinos flew and shot plasma bolts out of their horns. Honest!

    Somewhere in the future
    Lived the Herculoids
    Out in outer space
    Upon an asteroid

What can I say, it's a curse. I remember nearly every annoying jingle and theme song.

I also thought of the herculoids while reading the description... also the group included two blob like creatures that could change into anyshape and stretch and shrink... if it is then i know i am right.

When I was a 3, Astro Boy ruled the world, along with He-Man, and of course the Transformers.

When I was 7/8, it became Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, then the Simpsons.

    When I was 10-12, X-Men, then Rocko's Modern Life.

    When I was 13, Gargoyles.

When I was 16, South Park, and Dr. Katz.

BTW am I the only one who remember the Captain Planet and the Planeteers? "By your powers combined I am Captain Planet!" - man that show ruled.

That rings a bell, cant put any images to it though (Google here I come!!!). Do remember He-man (who could forget BattleCat)and the Transformers though.

And what about Thundercats, they were very cool at the time -cant remember which year though probably about 1988

Sorry to bump, but I was w/o internet for a while. Some replies
had been made to this thread...

Captain Planet sucked! He and his stupid planeteer-nerds were
all wieners. Cartoons should have no underlying political message.
How dare the show be so anti-pollution. It just isn't right.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ruled! I loved that cartoon so much.
I remember when the movie came out. It was just so cool. Hehe,
I also remember the second movie. The one with Vanilla Ice in it.
The third movie sucked. I didn't care about it.

Here are some more of my favorites (some have been mentioned).
    Duck Tales (woohoo!).
    Darkwing Duck.
    Gargoyles.
    Eek! The cat.
    Animaniacs.
    Tiny Toons.
    Batman.
Bobby's World (he was so cute).

I'm not going to list the Simpsons or any other prime-time
    cartoons. I consider those sitcoms.

Cartoons today suck. Everything is anime-style. Jeez,
    enough already!
