In other words, if you teach your cat to bark (output) and eat dog food (input) that doesn't make him a dog. It would have to chase cars, chew bones, and have puppies before I'd call it Rover ;-)

    A nice one is:

"There are 10 types if people in the world,
those who can read binary and those who can't."

But I don't know who said that.

My former signature was "Patience it bitter, but its fruit is sweet.", from Rousseau. My current signature is:

"Two great European narcotics, alcohol and Christianity."

"Independence is the right of the few, as it is the domain of the strong."

    and of course
"That, that does not kill us, makes us stronger."

    all from Friedrich Nietzsche,

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?" (Epicurus)

    and my old sig

"I am not young enough to know everything."

What a long strange road it's been - Jerry Garcia

"Always try something new. Remeber the Arc was built by amatures, the Titanic was built by professionals" - Letter to Car Talk

"Pull out your scissors... because the U.S. is about to remove a few unimportant countries from the map. " - Charles DeGaulle

" its easy just dont try ..." - 'Nemisis'

The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. And then you die. What's that? A bonus? I think the life-cycle is all backwards. You should die first and get it all over with. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you're too young. You get a gold watch. You go to work. You work forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You do drugs, alcohol and party. You get ready for high school. You go to grade school and become a kid. You play. You have no responsibilities. You become a little baby & go back into the womb. You spend your last nine months floating... Then, you finish off as an orgasm. I like it.
    -Andy Rooney
